We live in a beautiful world. Earth’s varied landforms and numerous bodies of water form the dynamic backdrop to our lives. The landscape gives us a sense of place which differentiates the region we live in from other regions across the globe. In this post, Daniel displays six photographs illustrating how land and water are a crucial part of nature.

Daniel Awde’s photos certainly demonstrate the beauty of the United States. Until you can visit the locations in his images, tour our virtual gallery. Check back often. We’ll regularly update the Photo Gallery section of Ruschtotheoutdoors.com.

Ann Lake

Lake Ann, Washington

Located in North Cascades National Park, this lovely lake sits within the 500,000-acre area. Visit and you’ll encounter jagged peaks, alpine valleys, temperate rain forests, abundant wildlife, and lots more.

Brook Above Lake Granby

Brook Above Lake Granby, Colorado

Our photographer captured this shot of sunlight hitting a babbling brook. Visitors to the third largest lake in Colorado are thrilled by stunning views surrounding the lake. Because of its unique location between two wilderness areas and just below the Continental Divide, the Lake Granby area attracts many outdoor enthusiasts.

Trillium Lake, Oregon

Trillium Lake, Oregon

Daniel captured this shot of fog rising above Trillium Lake near Mount Hood. In fact, if you visit you’ll be rewarded with stunning views of the popular mountain. There is a flat, well-maintained, lakeside trail with many places to stop and take that perfect photo.

Peavine Falls, Alabama

Allatoona Pass, Georgia

Allatoona Pass is an important American Battlefield. Of the 5,301 men who fought here, 30 percent lost their lives during the battle. When visiting, you’ll find that the earthworks and trenches are still in tact. Our photographer snapped this wonderful shot during a morning walk.

Peavine Falls, Alabama

Middle McCloud River Falls, CA

The Falls cascade within the middle of three levels of the McCloud River Falls located in the beautiful state of California. They are certainly the grandest with a 44-foot drop providing a marvelous view.
